Renewable Energy Program

VA has a goal to increase its renewable electricity consumption to 30% by 2025.

VA has performed renewable energy studies to determine which facilities would be most ideal for investing in renewable energy technologies based on availability of renewable fuels, energy plant characteristics, and local utility rates.

Renewable energy projects implemented at VA facilities yield energy cost savings, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and provide environmental benefits including reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
